Adam Holland

My searching is over. I have owned and played many guitars through my career. My Landon Guitars are the best I have ever owned. They bring together that vintage feel and mojo, perfect tone wood combinations and the best of today’s guitar building technologies. Landon’s impeccable American made craftsmanship leaves no detail overlooked. The sound, the feel and road worthiness….. What more can I say?” -Adam Holland

Adam Holland is a veteran musician, songwriter and producer with three major record deals, two major publishing deals, MTV videos, national tours, network television spots, magazines and numerous endorsements.

Adam picked up the guitar at age 11 and has been writing and performing songs ever since.

He was as founding member of Valentine, who  signed to Columbia Records and Giant Records. They worked with producer Neil Kernon (Hall and Oates, The Romantics, Dokken)  on their early demos and debut record. Valentine released a video on MTV for their single  No Way, and wrote and performed songs for the movie “Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter Is Dead” Starring Christina Applegate.  Adam signed on with Warner Chappel as a writer as well.

After management changes at Giant Records and personnel changes within the group, the band reformed as Open Skyz and signed a new deal with RCA Records and headed into the studio with producers Ritchie Zito (Eddie Money, Cheap Trick, Heart, Cher) and Rob Jacobs (Don Henley, The Eagles, U2) in LA. The band released two singles and toured the U.S. but after a significant reorganization at RCA the band left the label. In 1995, after a decade of music industry the band decided to part ways and pursue other interests.

On thing led to another and Adam was soon introduced to Roger Murrah at Murrah Music in Nashville, where he became a staff writer collaborating with great writers and artists like Philip White, Amber White, Luke Bryan and Shannon Brown.

Soon after Adam was invited to join Journey tribute band – Evolution founded by Valentine Open Skyz singer, Hugo. Getting the itch to perform again, he accepted the offer. This tribute band went to achieve national success and the performed all across America,
Together with Hugo once again fans sought out Valentine and the band was invited to perform at FireFest in Nottingham England. In 2007 where they received an overwhelming response and produced a live DVD. The band soon recorded their Soul Salvation CD and returned to Firefest in 2008 as well.

In 2009, Adam joined forces with former Journey lead vocalist, Steve Augeri after the two crossed paths over the course of several years (both toured with Mr. Big in 1994, Tall Stories and  Open Skyz). Sharing many common associations and a passion for live performance, Steve Adam and his old friends and Valentine members Gerard Zappa and Craig Pullman formed the Steve Augeri Band which currently tours world wide.

Kevin says, “Adam is one of those guitar players that as a bassist you desperately wish you had known in the 80’s and early 90’s. Yes yes yes he has the technical chops but more than that he has this amazing sense of melody and rhythm, emotion and soul and just pit of your stomach note grabs that feel sooooo damn good. But above all of that he is one of the good guys you meet in life and a person that I already count as a friend. A consummate professional, a great musician and we are VERY proud he uses our stuff.
